Kara DioGuardi raved that he was "more than a rock star, you're a rock GOD!" The Twitterverse agreed, as "Adam Lambert" was the number one trending topic shortly after the show.

17-year-old Allison Iraheta channeled Janis Joplin with the iconic "Cry Baby," and also rocked a new long hairdo courtesy of Lambert's hair stylist. Simon Cowell commended Iraheta on her growth, but said she "tried too hard to sound like the original." Twitterers responded lukewarmly.

Danny Gokey and Kris Allen were the first pair to sing a duet, performing Styx's "Renegade." Twitter users agreed that tonight was not Allen's night, with mixed reviews on his solo performance of "Come Together" by the Beatles.

Gokey sang (and screamed) Aerosmith's "Dream On." Although the judges weren't huge fans of Gokey's venture into a new genre, Cowell still said that he believed Gokey would be safe. Tonight's tweets didn't seem to agree, however.
