Melissa Rycroft Sits Out Monday's 'DWTS'

Former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader and "Bachelor" contestant Melissa Rycroft was sidelined from Monday's "Dancing With the Stars" competition due to a rib injury, E! Online reports. The injury stems from a difficult routine in last week's competition. Although she was feeling better, Rycroft hurt herself again during rehearsals. Consequently, she and her partner, professional dancer Tony Dovolani, felt it was better for her to sit out for Monday's performance.

Rycroft is expected to make a full recovery and hopes to return to the competition on Tuesday. Thanking her fans for their support on her Facebook page, she wrote "I was doing alright but went to the doc before dress rehearsal for some last minute treatment and ended up having a bad reaction that's affecting my breathing," she wrote. "Hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll be good tomorrow. But thank you for all the love, support and votes! We need it!"

Dovolani performed with professional dancer Lacey Schwimmer on Monday's show.
