Kristin Cavallari Joins "The Hills"

It's out with the old and in with new on "The Hills." "Laguna Beach" alumna Kristin Cavallari will replace the departing Lauren Conrad during the MTV series' sixth season, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Cavallari will make her first appearance during the show's May 31st season finale at Heidi Montag and Spender Pratt's wedding.

Conrad and Cavallari became fast rivals back in 2004 when they both vied for the same boy, co-star Stephen Colletti, on "Laguna Beach." Now three years since that show ended, Cavallari couldn't help but start her new gig with a slight snub to Conrad.

The 22-year-old said she'll showcase her energy and spontaneity, when asked how she's be different from the Conrad. Cavallari also said she plans to put more of her love life on-screen. "It’s a TV show and they need to make it entertaining," she said.

Co-stars Montag and Pratt told Entertainment Weekly they welcome the change. They credit Cavillari for introducing them and say they are looking forward to her joining the crew.
