Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard Get Married

Wedding bells rang this weekend for Maggie Gyllenhaall and Peter Sarsgaard. The couple tied the knot on Saturday at a small chapel outside Rome, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE. Guests at the wedding included Gyllenhaall's brother Jake and his girlfriend, Reese Witherspoon.

The long-time couple announced their engagement--and Gyllenhaall's pregnancy--in 2006, after being together for four years. Their daughter, Ramona, is 2 1/2.

Gyllenhaall and Sarsgaard starred together in the low-budget 2003 flick "In God's Hands." While Gyllenhaall recently starred in "The Dark Knight" (replacing Katie Holmes as Bruce Wayne's childhood friend and love interest, Rachel Dawes), Sarsgaard has appeared in films such as "Jarhead" (with Jake) and "Shattered Glass," which earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 2004.

According to PEOPLE, Salma Hayek also married in Italy just last week.

David Cook's Brother Loses Cancer Battle

This morning, before the 12th annual Race for Hope 5K in Washington, D.C., American Idol winner David Cook announced that his older brother Adam died yesterday after a long battle with brain cancer, reports PEOPLE.com.

"I actually lost my brother yesterday to a brain tumor and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else right now," Cook, 26, told the crowd at the benefit for brain cancer research. Adam Cook, 36, had been fighting the disease for a decade, but thankfully at least had the opportunity to see his little brother perform on Idol.

Per Entertainment Weekly, fans can make donations to David's Race for Hope team through September 30.

'The View' makes TIME 100

Per Time.com, the opinionated hosts of the very popular morning talk show The View made Time Magazine's 2009 list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd collectively made no. 54 on the list. Richard Stengel, editor of Time, even appeared as a guest on the show to explain to the viewers and the ladies why they were chosen to be on the prestigious list.

According to Stengel, the ladies are "the angels of democracy."

No Doubt Reunites On "TODAY Show"

Kicking off NBC's "TODAY" summer concert series, rock band No Doubt belted out its punk-infused sound across Rockefeller Plaza Friday morning, marking the band's first live performance in five years.

Per MSNBC, frontwoman Gwen Stefani sported her signature style while performing classic hits "It's My Life," "Spiderwebs," and "Don't Speak."

Coldplay to Give Fans Free Live Album

Per PEOPLE.com, on May 15 Coldplay will "give everyone attending concerts on their North American Viva la Vida summer tour a free live album."

"The give-away is meant as a recession-busting mark of gratitude to everyone who's supported them," says a message on Coldplay's Web site. "Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans – the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen."

The announcement was also made via Coldplay's Twitter account.
