Major Elimination On "Idol"

After guest performances from Chris Daughtry, Slash & No Doubt, 17-year-old rocker Allison Iraheta was eliminated on tonight's "American Idol" results show.

Ryan Seacrest told her, "I know I'll be playing your songs on the radio really soon," and the Twitterverse seems to agree, lamenting Iraheta's departure:

"Idol" Stage Manager Improving After Stage Accident

Last night, the Twitterverse was busy retweeting Ryan Seacrest's announcement that there had been "a few incidents" with the "Idol" stage, which resulted in the contestants missing dress rehearsal.

EW.com reported that the stage manager Debbie Williams fell down stairs, badly cutting her hand and possibly injuring her hand. Seacrest later used Twitter to update "Idol" fans on how Williams is doing:

Seacrest also revealed on last night's show that part of the iconic "Idol" stage was broken, sending shards of glass everywhere shortly before the live show began. Twitterers warned tonight's guest performer, former contestant Christ Daughtry, to steer clear:
